Camera shy | Angela Lang Bay Area Dog Photographer

When I arrived to photograph Maggie’s family she was a little apprehensive about my being in her backyard. I couldn’t help but snap this funny shot of her peeking her head through the bushes. Even dogs get camera shy!

Jeanine and Andrew invited me to their home to do her maternity session. She was just about to have her babies and their home seemed the best place for the session. Their pure-bred four year-old Yellow Labrador was the sweetest dog…she adores her family and still thinks she’s a puppy.

On a personal level, she was the PERFECT dog for me to come in contact with, as 2 weeks earlier I had been attacked by a German Shepard and still had bruises from it. This lab was so gentle that she calmed my nerves within a few minutes and helped me to feel more comfortable.

It was so fun to photograph 25 wonderful dogs at the Wags & Wuv benefit event over the weekend. Citizen Canine and all of the other vendors raised $3,500 that will go towards helping the Oakland dog adoption programs!!  Thank you to everyone who came out to support this event. Here are a few of my favorite images. Please come back this week for more dog photos.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
