A girl named Lou | Angela Lang Dog Photographer

28 Sep

I met Lou yesterday while on assignment to photograph her owner, the uber-talented Jennifer, founder of Young Artists Workspace YAWS in Berkeley. Lou is a super sweet female Heinz 57. She was surrounded by children and was as gentle as could be. The shoot ended with a spontaneous playdate with brown, furry Standard Poodle.

What a beautiful dog to photograph. She was very cooperative during the photo session, and she was super photogenic.

Camera shy | Angela Lang Bay Area Dog Photographer

When I arrived to photograph Maggie’s family she was a little apprehensive about my being in her backyard. I couldn’t help but snap this funny shot of her peeking her head through the bushes. Even dogs get camera shy!

In memory of ‘Rocket,’ a Dachshund-mix that I photographed 2 months ago. Sadly, she ran into the street not long ago and was hit by a car. She had the love and adoration of John and Hollie and her absence will be felt for a long time. How adorable were her big ears and eager eyes?

Chloe is my mom’s Shih-Tzu/Maltese mix who was the first dog that I photographed. She is full of energy and as friendly as they come.

Border Collie | Angela Lang Bay Area Dog Photographer

I photographed this energetic one-year old Border Collie-mix at my favorite park today. Stegner, named after the American Pulizer Prize author, was very alert and aware of his surroundings: other dogs, children, bikes, balls, and anything else that passed his way. I noticed a trailer on the path that matched the color of his golden eyes so we stopped there to focus on getting a good picture of him.

Chihuahua | Angela Lang Bay Area Dog Photographer

This photo was taken at a park just 2 hours after Pablo, a mixed-breed, was adopted from a local rescue. In that short time he was already showings signs of being a love-bug with a sweet disposition. I’m sure he and his new family are getting along swell. Don’t you agree that he looks handsome and authentic to his Chihuahua breed wearing a sombrero?!
